In a pink hot air balloon
Napping in my hammock Sunday afternoon
I wake up and spot a hot air balloon
Then a kangaroo named Captain Sue says,
"Hop aboard, bring your brother too"
Two o'clock in the afternoon
Flying west of Mount Everest to Kathmandu
We land by a panda who knows kung fu
Then we float up in the sky
Wow, what a beautiful view
Up in a pink hot air balloon
Me and you and a kangaroo
See the ocean big and blue

Three o'clock in the afternoon
The Sahara Desert all the way to Timbuktu
We step from our canopy onto the land
Then we dance in the jungle
With an elephant band
Four o'clock in the afternoon
Zooming by the Great Lakes to Kalamazoo
We swim with a timberwolf, laugh and howl
As we lift off the ground, we hoot like an owl
Up in a pink hot air balloon
Me and you and a kangaroo

Five o'clock in the afternoon
Touching down in the dunes of Lima, Peru
We race with a llama by the setting sun
But it's getting late, so we gotta run
Was today just a daydream afternoon?
We sail back to Australia's pale moon
Home to Mama's cookin' on my dinner plate
I hear a kangaroo outside holler, "Cheers, mate!"
